In such cases a computer is always advisable to use to follow the below methods. If you do not have a computer you can get or borrow one from a friend.
Disable the passcode or password on iPhone X or later, iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus
- Firstly, ensure your self that your iPhone is not connected to your computer device.
- Secondly, press and hold the Side button and one of the volume buttons firmly until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone. Then you can connect your iPhone to your computer while holding the Side button. Keep on holding the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.
- If it is the case that you backed up your data and setting, you can restore it after the passcode is disabled.
To disable the passcode or password on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
- Ensure that your iPhone is not connected to a computer.
- Next, Press and hold the Side button until the power off slider shows or appears. Drag the slider to turn your iPhone off. Then you can connect your iPhone to your computer while you are holding the Volume down button firmly. Keep on holding the Volume down button until you see the recovery mode on the screen.
- Finally, you can restore your data or settings after unlocking or removing the passcode on the iPhone.
To disable the passcode or password on iPhone SE (1st generation), and iPhone 6s and earlier
- As earlier said above we ensure our iPhone is not connected to a computer.
- Press and hold the Side (or the Top) button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn the iPhone off. Then connect your iPhone to your computer while holding the Home button. Keep holding the Home button firmly until you see the recovery mode screen.
- Finally, you can restore your data or settings after unlocking or removing the passcode on the iPhone.
Now restoring your iPhone
Locate your iPhone on your PC or computer device. When you see the option to Restore or Update, You choose Restore. The iTunes will download software for your iPhone. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your iPhone will exit recovery mode, and you will need to select your iPhone model or type above and repeat the methods to disable the passcode or password. After the process is done, you can setup and use your iPhone.
