These actions are taken after you have modified the phone with the IMEI digits.
- In the modified phone, insert an MTN Ugandan SIM card.
- Following insertion, you should receive 9GB of free data as well as an SMS confirmation.
- You can check your data using the dialer on your phone.

MTN Free 9GB Data Activation: Smartphone Method
Procedures:
- First of all click here to download and install the MTK engineering app
- Open the app and scroll to Engineering mode (MTK) or MTK settings and click it.
- Click on CDS information
- Click the Radio information and you will get phone 1 and phone 2. Depending on the sim IMEI you wish to change, phone 1 is sim 1 and phone 2 is sim 2
- To change sim 1 IMEI number to the one that you have, touch phone 1, and in the popup, touch the AT+

- Check the IMEI numbers you typed and then click the SEND AT COMMAND button.
- Reboot your phone when the pop-up message indicates that the AT command was properly issued.
